What is the difference between a Static and a Dynamic Pass Box? Which one do I need?
This is the most critical decision for maintaining cleanroom integrity.
- Static Pass Box: Designed for transferring materials between two areas of equivalent cleanliness levels (e.g., ISO 7 to ISO 7). It relies purely on the physical interlock mechanism to prevent cross-contamination.
- Dynamic Pass Box: Equipped with a built-in fan and HEPA filter to create a clean air wash inside the box. It is mandatory when transferring items from a lower cleanliness area to a higher one (e.g., General Area to ISO 5/Class 100), as it actively “cleans” the materials during transfer.
If your facility requires GMP compliance, Dynamic Pass Boxes are typically required for entering sterile zones.

How does your Interlock System work?
The interlock is the primary safety feature. Deiiang™ offers two robust mechanisms:
- Electronic Interlock: When one door is opened, the electromagnetic lock on the opposing door automatically engages, indicated by a “Working” light. This is our preferred solution for its durability and silent operation.
- Mechanical Interlock: A physical linkage system that mechanically prevents the second door from opening when the first is in use.
Both systems strictly enforce a “one-door-at-a-time” policy, preventing direct airflow convection between rooms and maintaining differential pressure.
