What is the difference between a Deiiang™ Clean Booth and a Softwall Cleanroom?

While similar, a Clean Booth is typically designed as a smaller, more localized clean zone, often placed over a specific machine or assembly line within a larger non-cleanroom environment. They are lighter, easier to assemble, and more focused on protecting a specific process. A Softwall Cleanroom is generally a larger, semi-permanent structure intended for personnel to walk into and work within. Deiiang™ Clean Booths are ideal for spot-cleaning applications like injection molding machines or optical inspection stations.

Can Deiiang™ Clean Booths achieve ISO Class 5 (Class 100) cleanliness?

Yes. By increasing the FFU (Fan Filter Unit) coverage on the ceiling grid to near 100%, we can achieve laminar vertical airflow that meets ISO Class 5 standards. This configuration washes away particles immediately, making it suitable for critical tasks like hard drive repair, semiconductor handling, or sterile packaging.

My facility has limited ceiling height. Can you customize the dimensions?

Absolutely. As a direct manufacturer, Deiiang™ specializes in custom solutions. We can design Clean Booths with lower profiles to fit under existing HVAC ducts or mezzanines. Conversely, we can build tall units to enclose large vertical machinery. Simply provide your available space dimensions (L x W x H), and our engineers will draft a CAD drawing for your approval.

How noisy are the Fan Filter Units (FFUs)? Will they disturb operators?

We use high-efficiency, low-noise AC or EC motor FFUs. At standard operating speeds, the noise level is typically 48-52 dBA, which is quieter than a normal conversation. This ensures that operators working inside or near the Clean Booth for long shifts are not fatigued by excessive noise.

What frame materials do you recommend for general assembly lines?

For most electronics and general assembly lines, we recommend our Industrial Aluminum Profile (40×40 or 50×50). It is lightweight, strong, resistant to corrosion, and very easy to assemble or modify later. For food or pharmaceutical applications, we offer 304 Stainless Steel frames which can withstand rigorous cleaning agents.

Do Deiiang™ Clean Booths come with wheels for mobility?

Yes, most of our standard Clean Booth models are equipped with heavy-duty swivel casters with brakes. This allows you to roll the clean environment over a machine for maintenance or move it to a different part of your production floor as workflows change. Once in position, the brakes (and optional leveling feet) ensure stability.

How do you prevent static buildup inside the booth?

Static control is critical for electronics manufacturing. Deiiang™ offers ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) Safe options, including:

  • ESD Grid Curtain Walls (surface resistance 10^6 – 10^9 Ω).
  • Grounded metal frames.
  • Ionizing bars (optional add-on) to neutralize static charges on insulated materials.

Is it difficult to assemble a Clean Booth? Do I need professional installation?

No, our Clean Booths are designed for easy self-assembly. We provide detailed installation manuals and video guides. Two to three people can typically assemble a standard-sized booth in 4-6 hours using basic tools (wrenches and hex keys). All electrical components (FFUs, lights) come with quick-connect plugs, minimizing the need for an electrician.

How do I maintain the filters?

Maintenance is simple but crucial:

  • Pre-filters: Located on top of the FFU, these catch large dust. Replace or wash them every 1-3 months.
  • HEPA Filters: Located inside the FFU. These typically last 3-5 years. We recommend checking them annually with a particle counter or checking the pressure gauge. If airflow drops significantly, it’s time to replace the HEPA filter.
